Roadmap update

Call it a bear market, call it crypto winter, call it what you will. I call it an opportunity to build without the distraction of excessive hype. So, that’s what we’ve been doing. Here’s where we are, two months into 2019.

Divi Core Development

  • Atomic Swap technology is 100% implemented our upcoming hard fork grants users access to it.
  • Segregated Witness (SegWit) implementation is 85% complete and should be fully implemented on the Divi test net within the next couple of days.
  • Lightning is being developed in parallel to SegWit and the implementation is around 60% finished.

These three core features are integral to building a scalable payments network that is interoperable with the largest coins in the industry and allow for the decentralized exchange of assets. These new features also enable the ability to create subscription-based payments with Divi.

Full Stack Development

Now that the PayPal integration is live and users are beginning to transition over to the subscription-based payment model for their masternode hosting, the full stack team is shifting focus to building out a framework that will allow for the wallets to support multiple coins.

By developing a framework ahead of time, we position ourselves to be able to easily integrate most assets, while standardizing the usability and feature-sets for these coins. One major thing lacking in Crypto, outside a user-friendly experience, is standardization across multiple blockchains. Divi aims to establish those standards.

This advancement is also very exciting because it will not only expand the wallet to be usable with all your favorite digital assets while exposing Divi to new communities but it will also allow us to apply some of the ease-of-use features that are currently exclusive to Divi to these same assets.

Think one-click deploy for all your favorite masternode coins. 🤔

Core team vested masternode reconfiguration

The dev wallets will be moving around a bit today and throughout the weekend as we dismantle and reconfigure our masternodes and move them into new wallets. Once complete, we will post all transaction IDs and update the explorer to reflect the new wallets.

Exrates goes live with DIVI/BTC trading pair

As of today, our community and new users can buy and sell $DIVI for $BTC on the Exrates exchange. Citizens of the U.S. can use this exchange and, as of the time of this writing, it is rated as the #27 top exchange by volume, according to CoinMarketCap. Head over and make an account to start trading.

Trade at your own risk and NEVER leave your coins on the exchange while you’re not making a transaction.

Additional exchanges

We are in talks with many other exchanges to mitigate risk and provide additional liquidity to new buyers and the current community.

The Divi Project is currently in discussions with a new currency exchange company in Costa Rica that may be able to offer us two things:

  1. An international Divi-branded debit card for our users
  2. A service, integrated within our Smart Wallet that will allow people to use their existing credit cards to buy DIVI and other cryptocurrencies.

We are working with a local attorney to get this accomplished now.

As always, have a great weekend and if you have any questions, find us on Telegram or the Forum
